Essential Oil Coffee Body Scrubs

Get your skin summer ready with an antioxidant-rich coffee scrub, infused with the amazing benefits of essential oils! Coffee has been shown to reduce the appearance of cellulite, stretch marks, and skin discoloration when used over time.

Essential oils add an extra kick to this recipe by providing even more antioxidants that help with skin issues. I've created three different recipes featuring citrus oils, but you can use pretty much any essential oil that you desire. Some oils you could try are Sandalwood, Lavender, Rose, Jasmine, Grapefruit, Slim & Sassy, Balance, Arborvitae, or Peppermint.

Tip: Dry brush before using your Coffee Scrub for increased lymphatic support and exfoliation. There are a lot of benefits to dry brushing, from increased energy to softer skin, so you should definitely try it!

Lime + Sea Salt Coffee Body Scrub

  • 1 cup ground coffee
  • 1/4 cup raw coconut oil
  • 3 tablespoons sea salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon jojoba oil
  • 8 drops Lime essential oil

Mix the coffee, coconut oil, sea salt, and jojoba oil in a bowl until the coconut oil is melted and the mixture is coarse and crumbly. You can add more coffee grounds or sea salt if you want it to be a little rougher and less "oily" feeling. Add 8-10 drops Lime essential oil. Transfer mixture to a waterproof glass container, and enjoy!

Wild Orange Coffee Body Scrub

  • 3/4 cup ground coffee
  • 3 tablespoons raw coconut oil
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon jojoba oil
  • 5-8 drops Wild Orange essential oil

Add the first four ingredients into a bowl and mix until the coconut oil is melted. This recipe is a little on the "oilier" side, so if you want a grittier scrub, just add more coffee grounds and/or brown sugar. I like using oilier scrubs when my skin is feeling super dry, because it leaves my skin soft and moisturized all day long.

Coconut Coffee Brown Sugar Body Scrub

  • 1 cup ground coffee
  • 1/4 cup raw coconut oil
  • 3 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon jojoba oil
  • 8-10 drops of any essential oil of your choice.

This is my favorite base scrub recipe. It's very customizable, so don't be afraid to play around with it and find your favorite version! In this scrub, I've used Citrus Bliss and LOVED how it smelled. It would also be amazing with Sandalwood as well!

Remember, if you want a gentler scrub, use fine coffee grounds. You can recycle your own after making coffee at home, or ask your favorite coffee shop if they have any leftover grounds that you can have. (I get mine at Starbucks for free).

Also, don't forget to add the jojoba oil! Event though it is a small amount, it is still an important ingredient as it provides amazing skin benefits. Jojoba oil is rich in Vitamin E, which is very helpful in reducing the signs of skin imperfections including scars, acne, and stretch marks.

I've included label art for your Body Scrub containers. These are 3 3/8 x 2 1/3 inches (Avery 5395). Just print them out and you've got nice looking jars for your yummy new body scrubs! 😊 Right click the image you want and save it to your computer to print.
